What I like right now

I've been thinking a lot about the color navy blue. I used to wear a lot of it in college but then gravitated towards black. I think navy will make a big comeback. I like the idea of navy and black together -I think it's very "sophisticated".

I'm also looking for the Laura Ashley style to come back somehow. I worked there in college in the late 80's and early 90's and still love the look and have several classic dresses hanging in my closet. Agreed, it's not the "sexiest" of styles, but I could see influences (like Liberty style prints or longer dresses) come back. I wish the powers that be hadn't run the company into the ground like they did. It had so much character in the 80's and was such a special place to shop. Now it's just a licensing brand.

The final thing I'll add in this post is that I've been holding on to a pair of vintage 80's Guess jeans that I won on eBay about 4 years ago. They are the style with the four flap pockets on the front with contrasting fabric in the pockets (the most coveted and expensive model when I was in school). The cut is very 80's - sort of baggy legs that become more fitted at the bottom. And no pockets on the back. I'll never fit into them, but I saw them and had to have them (couldn't afford them when I was in high school!). I really think they'd be a valuable commodity right now on eBay because jeans are just soooo hot! I'll try to post a picture of them so others can wax nostalgic (or get a good laugh).
